The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is a 1-day course that is designed to equip individuals with the key principles of manual handling and how to apply these to their workplace. During the course, there will be practical elements incorporated so that learners can practice safe moving and handling by using a range of techniques. There will be a range of topics covered such as on Manual Handling laws and Manual Handling equipment. The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling course is a nationally recognised qualification and it is a regulated course.
The law states that employers have a legal responsibility to provide adequate training for those who perform manual handling tasks in their day to day role.

The course is suitable for those who work, or intend to work, in a job role that involves manual handling. It is an ideal course for those working in a variety of settings such as in a warehouse, a shop, or working in a care home.
During the course, there will be a range of learning styles incorporated to maximise your learning experience, including theory and practical elements. There will be a multiple-choice examination at the end of the course to test your knowledge. Upon successful completion of the course, each delegate will have the knowledge, confidence, and certification to go to their workplace and apply what they have learned to minimise the risk of unsafe manual handling.
Refresher training is recommended every 3 years which will be a 1-day course to refresh and update your manual handling knowledge.
