The Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling is a half-day, theory based qualification designed to raise awareness of safe manual handling techniques and reduce the risk of workplace injuries.
This course is ideal for all employees involved in lifting, moving, or carrying tasks, and helps employers meet their legal duties under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended) - the key legislation governed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Delivered by experienced trainers, this course gives learners the knowledge to identify manual handling hazards, understand safe working practices, and promote a safety first culture within their organisation.

There is a short multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course to confirm understanding. Upon successful completion, learners receive a Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling certificate, valid for 3 years.
