This course is ideal for individuals who wish to act as a first aider within their workplace and those who work in a high risk working environment. A high-risk working environment would be one such as construction sites and warehouses, for these sorts of working environments, the risk is higher due to the nature of the work and the increased likelihood of First Aid emergencies and accidents. Therefore, the First Aid at Work is beneficial to those in high-risk working environments and covers their First Aid needs and requirements. As well as being ideal for workplaces that have staff with known medical conditions, such as a worker who has Epilepsy.
Also, it is suited to individuals who want to gain a more in depth First Aid knowledge and understanding, as it covers the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work contents as well as equipping individuals with applying First Aid to specific injuries and illnesses such as heart attack and chest injuries.
If you are in a low risk working environment, such as an office, we would recommend attending a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course, which is a 1 day course and covers the basics of First Aid.
Your certificate lasts 3 years, and refresher courses are recommended to keep your skills up to date.
